Muse - ick

Abundant with musical ideas, my creative muse is truly a blessing. She appears out of nowhere. My process is simple, when inspiration strikes, I quickly sing or play and record it on my phone. Then, I sit with it in due time, trying to recreate and capture it again.

I saw a movie on Netflix today called She Came to Me. In it, Steven Lauddem, played by Peter Dinklage, struggles with serious creative block. Eventually, he finds inspiration from events in his own life.

Living in this day and age, where AI can write, compose, and perform incredible music, I find myself drawn to imperfection, the little fret buzz, a slightly detuned guitar.

I’m rediscovering music from the past, The Who and Yes. Music is a different vibe from that era.
