Willpower vs Distractions

I tried writing this blog a few times today, but every time I began, I got pulled away with thoughts, videos, or random sounds.

It’s funny how the things that distract us always win. It could be a phone call right when you’ve finally sat down to do some focused work or a video that tempts you just as you’re getting into the zone.

What can be done?

I’ve come to realize that it all narrows down to willpower, our ability to say “NO” to the things that break our focus. The more we practice choosing to focus, the stronger that willpower becomes.

Little things as, doing the bed as soon as you wake up, or doing the dishes right after a meal is a way to begin practising willpower.
