Sunday, church, 12 string guitar!
I woke up early today. Mom had my breakfast ready and I thanked her for the food prepared for me.
I went to church and after the sermon, Andy, Sol, Ujwal and I went out for breakfast. We just drank tea and pazhampori. Andy ordered a dosa from Wayanadan’s cafe.
We got back to church quickly and caught up with the uncle’s and aunts. I spoke to Nivedh, who is moving to the US, at 35 years to study at Purdue university.
I also caught up with Nikhil and family, he just got back from Germany. Nikhil invited me over for some cured-smoked ham he got down from Germany. He didn’t have the slicer to make thin slices of it. We have to carve it with a knife carefully cutting it to very thin slices. Apparently the meat melts in your hand if cut at the right size. We also spoke about places to see around Germany! And he laughed at me being single and going to see the Eiffel Tower in France. And there I was with no Visa, having European dreams!
Then I spoke to Sharmi, it was her birthday today, she said they were gathering at her place to watch football and I can join them. I already had plans of getting my guitar pedal fixed today so, I passed the offer.
Andy suggested we eat North Karnataka food for lunch, so he bought home lots of rice, sambar, roti, pumpkin palya, and coconut holige. Solomon joined us just for holige and went home for lunch and came back. We caught up on Trump’s assassination attempt, Ambani wedding and plans for the day.
Solo decided to accompany me to the guitar store, he also changed the strings on his guitar. At the store, Akhai handed me a Takamine12 string guitar and I was lost playing on it! I made some heads turn at the store in a good way with my playing, I was happy. But that guitar was magic! I wanted to buy it! ₹60000 was quite a lot! I will buy it someday!
While Solo’s guitar was getting fixed, we walked to Fanoos and had some rolls. We took the metro back home. I also got a call from Tanmaya, if I could help Darsh learn Fur Elise. It was too late for a class. So I scheduled it to tomorrow evening.
Looking forward to another week! I end this blog with heartfelt gratitude.
