Death of the Phoenix!

It was time for a shiny new guitar, the old one used to be a favorite like the many others, but not anymore. It had dents, scratches and scars and was difficult to play. There were better ones in the market now. A call was made, a new one ordered.

The old guitar just wanted to be played!
It had seen and felt it all ; passion, anger, love and now hate! Overwhelmed with this new emotion, it felt heavy, almost dead with rusty strings. It was left in a dark corner and never played. The neck warped with time.

The shiny new guitar was fun to play on!  But there was hardly any time. Family and other obligations took utmost priority. It was left in a case, near a bright window and taken out only occasionally.  It was left, where the sunlight warmed the guitar in the case. That was a wrong window indeed!

Someone picked up the old warped guitar from the dark room finally! It was happy, maybe it was getting new strings and the truss rod adjusted. Someone would strum on it again. It thought, hopefully.

This feeling of joy, love, care and lots of strumming and music never happened! Instead, it became a source of warmth for a group of people sitting around a campfire strumming and singing with the new guitar!

Ashes remained; Ash to Ash, Dust to Dust, FADE TO BLACK
