My music story : #61 : My first solo concert

BSM was quite strict about the student concerts. We were asked to attend all concerts held at alliance, but thanks to Kenny I could just sneak it. I saw many orchestral performances lead by Naranyanswami.

Finally it was my turn to play. I played etude in D. I was so nervous, this time it was just me on stage! The spotlight was on me. I was very nervous, I somehow finished my performance and my nervousness showed. But everyone at BSM was quite encouraging and I only cared about what my teacher thought. He said I didn’t do very well. It was ok, he told me to improve next time and to pretend there was an audience listening at all times even when I’m rehearsing. This got the jitters out eventually! 

So when I have a bad performance, I go back to this day and say I have come a long way!

Leg > Bike

 I met with an accident today! To save my new bike I used my leg to cushion its fall! I have a crack on my middle toe bone! I had gone to Saptagiri hospital initially, the first doctor who operated on me was a student, he was learning to stitch on my leg. During the stitch, I insisted that a real doctor do this. Then the next guy there tried adjusting my bone back over the stitch without knowing that it’s stitched. I was in soo much pain.  Then we decided to go to Baptist hospital, I got admitted and got my surgery done. Atleast I saved my bike.

I know it’s hot and humid, But why do I have cold feet?  Butterflies in my stomach,  I’m feeling all that again.  I know I’m in love.  She’s an artist,  Paints sceneries and teaches me the art too!  Organised, clarity in speech,  My “crush”  Then I noticed the ring,  There was perhaps a man in her life?  I secretly wished for someone, just like her.  Then it snowed, just on the inside, My heart felt heavy A song left my lips,  I prayed, I manifested!  Now I wait.

Lull

 6:14 am! I took a shower and got ready for class at 7:00 am! But the class got cancelled. So I ended up playing the piano and guitar and singing some old songs.  Then I lost the mood to play the instrument and came back to bed sweating! Then I listened to a lot of Tamil songs, some of which I want to arrange on guitar. Maybe I was listening to a lot of melodic sad songs, the voice lulled me to a semi sleep state.  Then it was class time from 4:00 till 8:30 pm. Long day.
