My music story : #32: Kokaine

A new CD rental shop opened near us. This place was quite controversial, one, it was banned after a white powder that people snorted, two they rented pirated CDs! We had a cd player and a computer that played the CDs I walked into the store and they also wrote CDs into cassette. I got some pop hits from there! 

I saw a CD labeled Guns and Roses, it happened to be a dvd available on rent for 15 bucks for 15 days. I took the CD, asked my friend Jerome who helped me locate the avseq file and copied it to my hard disk. Now I had music videos in my hard drive. I returned the VCD back and this time, I saw another one! Eagles! Hell Freezes Over. I copied this too this cd had the most talked about song ever! Hotel California. 

My playing ability was not so great to play the finger style music that Hotel California demanded but I honed my barre chord skills by learning this song. I suddenly could play “F #” minor! Soon I was known as the guy who could play Hotel California but in reality, I was just playing the chords!

 I met with an accident today! To save my new bike I used my leg to cushion its fall! I have a crack on my middle toe bone! I had gone to Saptagiri hospital initially, the first doctor who operated on me was a student, he was learning to stitch on my leg. During the stitch, I insisted that a real doctor do this. Then the next guy there tried adjusting my bone back over the stitch without knowing that it’s stitched. I was in soo much pain.  Then we decided to go to Baptist hospital, I got admitted and got my surgery done. Atleast I saved my bike.

I know it’s hot and humid, But why do I have cold feet?  Butterflies in my stomach,  I’m feeling all that again.  I know I’m in love.  She’s an artist,  Paints sceneries and teaches me the art too!  Organised, clarity in speech,  My “crush”  Then I noticed the ring,  There was perhaps a man in her life?  I secretly wished for someone, just like her.  Then it snowed, just on the inside, My heart felt heavy A song left my lips,  I prayed, I manifested!  Now I wait.

Lull

 6:14 am! I took a shower and got ready for class at 7:00 am! But the class got cancelled. So I ended up playing the piano and guitar and singing some old songs.  Then I lost the mood to play the instrument and came back to bed sweating! Then I listened to a lot of Tamil songs, some of which I want to arrange on guitar. Maybe I was listening to a lot of melodic sad songs, the voice lulled me to a semi sleep state.  Then it was class time from 4:00 till 8:30 pm. Long day.
