My music story : #6 Beginnings : Granny’s 4ths

 My granny would initiate prayer in the morning and at night before they all slept at home. The prayer started with a song, a Bible verse read or recited by everyone, especially the kids followed by a long  prayer! We would be very sleepy between the prayer and my cousin Johnney mostly dozes off in between on all fours. 

But the highlight for me would be my granny! Who was never in  the right key! She stuck to her lane! Granny would sound in tune by herself, but it sounded like two different keys! I didn’t know back then what a key was! But I knew both melody was right, but could not be together. I got a kick out of tuning into granny’s key while I ignored the other voices! This was my first harmony lesson.

Leg > Bike

 I met with an accident today! To save my new bike I used my leg to cushion its fall! I have a crack on my middle toe bone! I had gone to Saptagiri hospital initially, the first doctor who operated on me was a student, he was learning to stitch on my leg. During the stitch, I insisted that a real doctor do this. Then the next guy there tried adjusting my bone back over the stitch without knowing that it’s stitched. I was in soo much pain.  Then we decided to go to Baptist hospital, I got admitted and got my surgery done. Atleast I saved my bike.

I know it’s hot and humid, But why do I have cold feet?  Butterflies in my stomach,  I’m feeling all that again.  I know I’m in love.  She’s an artist,  Paints sceneries and teaches me the art too!  Organised, clarity in speech,  My “crush”  Then I noticed the ring,  There was perhaps a man in her life?  I secretly wished for someone, just like her.  Then it snowed, just on the inside, My heart felt heavy A song left my lips,  I prayed, I manifested!  Now I wait.

Lull

 6:14 am! I took a shower and got ready for class at 7:00 am! But the class got cancelled. So I ended up playing the piano and guitar and singing some old songs.  Then I lost the mood to play the instrument and came back to bed sweating! Then I listened to a lot of Tamil songs, some of which I want to arrange on guitar. Maybe I was listening to a lot of melodic sad songs, the voice lulled me to a semi sleep state.  Then it was class time from 4:00 till 8:30 pm. Long day.
