Plagiarist!

Just saw a guy taking credit for a Tommy Emmanuel’s Beatles medley cover. I was furious at first then settled down to reflect about it.

Of course, he modified it a little bit and owned it, played it really well, with no credit given to Tommy Emmanuel, who took the melody off from Beatles. At least Tommy’s was original in its arrangement for finger style guitar. But this guy copied most of the notes, which qualifies for copyright infringement. 

Isn’t this what we do in the creative arts world, we plagiarize in the pursuit to learn, with no regards to the original composer. I settled, satisfied having caught the plagiarist!
