Visiting Dr. Manoj

 I felt a cavity on the left upper molar, so I decided to go to a dentist, Dr. Manoj’s Denta Clinic. My parents visit him for their dental appointments. 

I reached there at the time of my appointment at 11:00 am and it was a clean well organized place. The infected tooth was filled (thank god I didn’t need a root canal!) and cleaned. 

After the appointment, Dr Manoj and I had a chat about the music scenes during the pandemic and we had a long conversation about the various happenings. He also asked me to share with him some country music and I’m on it!

Denzil is going back to the Netherlands tonight! So he called me (last night), to accompany him to IDC for breakfast! He wanted to satisfy his Masala Dosa and podi Idli cravings!  So we set out early, at  6:30ish as planned  7:45 to IDC. Andy joined us. We drank coffee, ate some amazing breakfast.  After we stepped out, our eyes fell upon this dawg! The pup was shivering.. and had this “I need help” “I’m cuter than them bitches” eyes. We really didn’t know what to do. People walking around at the park told us, it was abandoned and had difficulty to walk. Some people even asked us to “please do something, it needs help” Someone had abandoned the pup at the park maybe in hopes that someone will rescue her. “Compassionately heartless” quipped Denzil  I reached out to everyone I knew who had some experience with rescuing dogs! Heal

When was the last time you said,  “What I did was wrong” before blaming someone else? It takes integrity, humility, and courage to admit when you’re wrong. But doing so can bring peace and help you move on without bitterness. We all make mistakes, we’re human, not robots. We mess up sometimes, and that’s okay. Every action has consequences. We just have to face them and take responsibility for our choices. It's tough to live with guilt and shame, but you’ve got to forgive yourself and move forward. If you choose to repeat the same mistake, that’s your decision!, but be aware, there  will  be consequences. Growth only begins the moment you stop running from the truth and start owning your story. Along with being kind to yourself you must be honest as well. That’s when healing begins.

Willpower vs Distractions

I tried writing this blog a few times today, but every time I began, I got pulled away with thoughts, videos, or random sounds. It’s funny how the things that distract us always win. It could be a phone call right when you’ve finally sat down to do some focused work or a video that tempts you just as you’re getting into the zone. What can be done? I’ve come to realize that it all narrows down to  willpower,   our ability to say “ NO”  to the things that break our focus. The more we practice choosing to focus, the stronger that willpower becomes. Little things as, doing the bed as soon as you wake up, or doing the dishes right after a meal is a way to begin practising willpower.
