Abundant with musical ideas, my creative muse is truly a blessing. She appears out of nowhere. My process is simple, when inspiration strikes, I quickly sing or play and record it on my phone. Then, I sit with it in due time, trying to recreate and capture it again. I saw a movie on Netflix today called  She Came to Me . In it, Steven Lauddem, played by Peter Dinklage, struggles with serious creative block. Eventually, he finds inspiration from events in his own life. Living in this day and age, where AI can write, compose, and perform incredible music, I find myself drawn to imperfection, the little fret buzz, a slightly detuned guitar. I’m rediscovering music from the past,  The Who and Yes. Music is a different vibe from that era.

Distracted!  Amazing!  Love! The tunes are woven!  Music oozes.  Tapping noisy feet, Fingers on the frets,  Digging in, bending the notes, With the music face.  I see through the window, Love!  Soul.  I let go of my thoughts,  I fight my mind,  Pull back and bring it,  To my own music,  And we create magic! 

One day Zui, Nikhil and I got high. I mean we trekked to a hill near the farm, and decided to write a song at the peak. We ended up listening to birds, watching a Peacock en-flight, mating frogs, tracking leopard poop but write the song.  There was this one bird’s call that stood out, the Common Hawk Cuckoo. Nikhil, had his binoculars and followed the bird mid flight and this bird’s call inspired the song Brain Fever!  We swiftly trekked back to the farm and got to work. Decided we won’t stop till we finished the song.  Nikhil started the song with a nice groovy bass! I complimented it with an amazing C9 chord and viola! We had a song. Zui and Nikhil penned the words and we arranged a 3 part harmony over it! It’s the most loved quiet song of ours compared to the other two heavier ones. 

There’s a fracture Im healing from.  My heart of stone is not broken!  It’s cracked, just a bit.  It will be put back together as always! Even stronger.  I cannot swim,  Its weight will drown me.  Only her songs,  Only her songs will make it light.  Then I will float,  Even on air.  

I’m back to writing after a long break. I really missed it. This is not going to be chat gpt corrected and modified as I do with the blogs for my music school, that’s business. This, this is personal.  I visited Vietnam after being rejected the European visa. But I’m glad I did Vietnam. I mingled with the locals, ate their food went on some adventures. After I got back, Zui called me to stay at the farm for a few days. We ended up jamming and writing a song. Later Nikhil joined in on bass. Now we have a band! We are called Löfrăt, we wrote three songs and are on the fourth one. We managed to play 3 small shows as well. I love the band and our songs. More on that later!  I backslid on workouts, gained 5 kgs!! Plus I’ve been doing all the cooking (sometimes buying food) myself for about a month! Right now I’m back on track. I have a lot more to put out there! So Hi! And Bye! 

 I started my day with a sandwich. Then I went go get my bike fixed and worked on my website at costa cafe. I also booked the flight to Vietnam! Just waiting for this trip to happen! Let’s go!

 I competed the website content and now waiting for Hemanth to finish it and for it to go live. I can’t wait! Fingers crossed.
