My music story : #51 : National Market

National market was the hub of piracy. You could get copies of clothes, brands, electronics and also music! I went there to get some Adidas footwear and was window shopping, and inside there were some smaller shops selling belts and earphones and radio. They had MP3s and also VCDs. I browsed through them and saw one called Steve Vai, Alien Love Secrets. I bargained it down to ₹25 and the shopkeeper reluctantly let go of it! This was one of the guys that Joshi always spoke about, Steve Vai! I bought the CD and the way back home seemed too long. 

I played it on our huge Sony Tv! There is was Steve Vai all painted in gold playing Bad horsie. I didn’t like the song. I was dumbstruck from the next song onwards. I’m looking forward to seeing and listening to Vai soon!

Leg > Bike

 I met with an accident today! To save my new bike I used my leg to cushion its fall! I have a crack on my middle toe bone! I had gone to Saptagiri hospital initially, the first doctor who operated on me was a student, he was learning to stitch on my leg. During the stitch, I insisted that a real doctor do this. Then the next guy there tried adjusting my bone back over the stitch without knowing that it’s stitched. I was in soo much pain.  Then we decided to go to Baptist hospital, I got admitted and got my surgery done. Atleast I saved my bike.

I know it’s hot and humid, But why do I have cold feet?  Butterflies in my stomach,  I’m feeling all that again.  I know I’m in love.  She’s an artist,  Paints sceneries and teaches me the art too!  Organised, clarity in speech,  My “crush”  Then I noticed the ring,  There was perhaps a man in her life?  I secretly wished for someone, just like her.  Then it snowed, just on the inside, My heart felt heavy A song left my lips,  I prayed, I manifested!  Now I wait.

Lull

 6:14 am! I took a shower and got ready for class at 7:00 am! But the class got cancelled. So I ended up playing the piano and guitar and singing some old songs.  Then I lost the mood to play the instrument and came back to bed sweating! Then I listened to a lot of Tamil songs, some of which I want to arrange on guitar. Maybe I was listening to a lot of melodic sad songs, the voice lulled me to a semi sleep state.  Then it was class time from 4:00 till 8:30 pm. Long day.
