My music story : #34: Cathedrals

 By the time I was at Cathedral PU college, I had listened to scorpions and eagles and some pop songs, Backstreet Boys, Vengaboys! College music scene was different! It was not very cool to be listening to boy bands! We had to listen to Metallica and Iron Maiden! Every one only listened to either or. I chose the Metallica side, because they had easier songs to play on the acoustic! The college also had a band with guitarists and drummers! I witnessed my first rock show at Cathedrals! They played Limp Bizkit’s Mission Impossible theme and paranoid by Black Sabbath! I found cassettes and started copying and listening to them!

Leg > Bike

 I met with an accident today! To save my new bike I used my leg to cushion its fall! I have a crack on my middle toe bone! I had gone to Saptagiri hospital initially, the first doctor who operated on me was a student, he was learning to stitch on my leg. During the stitch, I insisted that a real doctor do this. Then the next guy there tried adjusting my bone back over the stitch without knowing that it’s stitched. I was in soo much pain.  Then we decided to go to Baptist hospital, I got admitted and got my surgery done. Atleast I saved my bike.

I know it’s hot and humid, But why do I have cold feet?  Butterflies in my stomach,  I’m feeling all that again.  I know I’m in love.  She’s an artist,  Paints sceneries and teaches me the art too!  Organised, clarity in speech,  My “crush”  Then I noticed the ring,  There was perhaps a man in her life?  I secretly wished for someone, just like her.  Then it snowed, just on the inside, My heart felt heavy A song left my lips,  I prayed, I manifested!  Now I wait.

Lull

 6:14 am! I took a shower and got ready for class at 7:00 am! But the class got cancelled. So I ended up playing the piano and guitar and singing some old songs.  Then I lost the mood to play the instrument and came back to bed sweating! Then I listened to a lot of Tamil songs, some of which I want to arrange on guitar. Maybe I was listening to a lot of melodic sad songs, the voice lulled me to a semi sleep state.  Then it was class time from 4:00 till 8:30 pm. Long day.
