Finding time

I’m not able to find time to practice the guitar and piano. I’m  able to do all the other things. I must get into a routine and make more music. Life is too short and time is running out. Maybe I’ll get organized soon.

Getting my guitar game on

I cleaned the studio thoroughly to make room for more guitar playing. Im planning to record a new song for Mr. Rajesh it should have the 80’s rock vibe. So, listening to a lot of rock music these days to rip them off. I must also research and do some proper drum and bass groove. Thanks to Ravi for lending me the bass. Let there be music!

Pain

Pain is your way to know something in your body is not right. The way I deal with pain is to observe, and narrow down to why it’s happening and consciously try and heal it. I think god give me pain to mould me into shape. After all, he is the potter I’m just the clay.

Meeting Mr. Balamurali Krishna

I got this on my WhatsApp a few days ago.  Hello Anish, I hope all is well with you. First of all, I want to thank you for being a teacher, mentor, and big brother to my son Manoj. As a music teacher, you have imparted skills to play guitar which has led him to try to learn bass, saxophone, and violin during a pandemic. You have influenced and inspired him to be independent and carve his destiny. I am proud of Manoj, who has survived and strived as a Canadian citizen and has successfully integrated and become part of a mosaic of cultures in Canada. This example is a testimony to the power of music as an expressive art to bridge the barriers in society. I am encouraged by this experience and want to include children in my neighborhood to experience and be inspired by the music or performing arts. I want to request you to arrange a performance by your students in my garden in Chickabanavara. The proposed show will be on April 2 at the Ugadi festival, between 5 pm to 6 pm. The audience wi

Rain!

It rained today again! No more dust around, at-least for a short period of time. My plants are also are getting the benefit out of it! Cooled the place down. Rain, how it transforms the world around you! But if it keeps raining we crave for the sun. So, everything in moderation! Thank you God!

Cleaning my house again

A long month of neglect due to my extensive travel, showed as a thin layer of dust all over my house. I started keeping things in order and today I cleaned the floor. The entire floor. Now I need to go one room at a time and work the windows and things! I’m just praying for rain, so this dust will settle.

Recording a new track

I’m going to be working on a new track for mr. Rajesh. I want to make it sound more like the band Mr. Big. More of those guitar riffs, drums and bass. I’ve asked for a bass to start this. I have decided not to work more than 2 hours everyday on this project. And I will put in my best work on this. No slacking!
