The dream!

 The conductor started the concert at a walking pace, andante ! It was quite pleasing to the ears for the audience of two. They enjoyed the sounds together, flowing with a crescendo, diminuendo as it picked up pace. It was a long concert. They enjoyed the music, made abstract meanings from the notes and whispered to each other!

But the concerto was quite long. She left out a yawn, he didn’t notice. He was easily distracted! Soon they were on their phones watching reels and on DMs. They even texted each other while being in the same room! The music was ignored. 

The conductor had his back towards them and caught them on their phones through the corner of his eye. He changed pace, added dynamics and some interesting diminished arpeggios magically to the orchestra to grab their attention!

Oblivious to the melodies that filled the air, they  continued texting each other, ignoring the music. 

The conductor then ended the show with a bang!  Their phones exploded at the finale and they woke back up to reality! 

Silence! There was no more music.
